RMII

The RMII is an impressive machine in both strength and cut quality. The RMII has the same double-height gantry used on our top production model, the RMS.

In use world-wide, the RMII provides rapid payback by easily handling up to three shifts per day.

This robust 3-axis router is designed for heavy applications and
is the production backbone of companies in a growing number of industries. Applications range from sign making, woodworking, and metalworking to parts fabrication, architectural modeling, mold making, ice carving, education and more.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • 4" box section welded steel frame
  • Precision machined steel arm endplates
  • Aircraft grade extruded aluminum T-slot machine bed
  • Aircraft grade extruded aluminum double-height gantry. The double height gantry provides extra strength and rigidity for heavier cutting applications and multiple shift production
  • Heavy-duty precision steel linear rails and bearings in X, Y, and Z-axis
  • Rack and pinion drive system in X & Y-axis; ballscrew in
    Z-axis
  • Stepper motor drives (with servo drive upgrade option)
  • 8" under gantry clearance and 7" Z-axis
    travel (higher clearance and travel upgrade optional)
  • Maximum simultaneous X/Y traverse speed of 400ipm
    (169mmps). For servo motor speed is 950ipm (400mmps). Actual cutting speeds are dependent on type and thickness of material being cut, the bit being used, and the job file
  • T-slot speed-clamping system (vacuum bed upgrade optional)
  • Non-accumulating repeatability 0.001"
  • Simultaneous 3-axis movement
  • X,Y,Z machine home limit switches (+ soft limit capability) on CMC3 controller systems. CMC2 controller systems
    have only a Z-axis limit switch and no soft limit capability

  • Machine power supply can be 110/120v or 220/240v single-phase
  • Machine footprint: this will depend on the machine
    process area. Just add 36" to the y axis process area and 18" to the X-axis process area. For example, an RMII with
    a 52x102 process area will have a footprint of approximately 88" x 120". For the RMII systems ordered with automatic tool changers, add an additional 14" to the Y-axis footprint. CMC3 controller systems will also need a computer workstation positioned close to the machine, which will be additional to the above footprint calculation
